Curio — Terms of Use (EULA)

Welcome to Curio. These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute an End User License Agreement ("EULA") and govern your access to and use of the Curio mobile application ("the App") developed by Ribn Development ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Curio, you agree to these Terms in their entirety.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By using Curio, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 13 years old
  • You agree to comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy
  • You have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract

If you do not accept these terms, do not use the App.

2. SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Curio is an educational mobile application that provides:

  • Daily curious facts in multiple languages
  • Streak and gamification system
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) interaction to explore content
  • Home screen widget (iOS and Android)
  • Premium features through subscription

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the App at any time.

3. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS

Curio PRO — Monthly Subscription
Title: Curio PRO Monthly
Length: 1 month (auto-renewable)
Price: $1.99 USD/month (prices may vary by region)

3.1 Free Plan (Curio FREE):

  • 5 daily curious facts
  • 1 AI query per day
  • Favorites limited to 50 items
  • Standard streak system

3.2 Premium Plan (Curio PRO):

Curio PRO is an automatically renewable monthly subscription that includes:

  • 10 daily curious facts
  • 12 AI queries per day
  • Unlimited favorites
  • Protected streak

3.3 Payments and Renewal:

  • Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • Subscription automatically renews each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Your App Store or Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings
  • We do not offer refunds for unused partial subscription periods

3.4 Pricing:

Prices may vary by region and are subject to change with prior notice. Price changes will not affect active subscriptions during the current billing period.

4. ACCOUNT AND ACCEPTABLE USE

4.1 Personal Use:

The App is for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

  • Share your account with third parties
  • Use the App for commercial purposes without authorization
  • Resell or redistribute Curio content

4.2 Prohibited Conduct:

You may not:

  • Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or decompile the App
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools
  • Interfere with the security or infrastructure of the App
  • Violate applicable laws or third-party rights

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

5.1 All App content (curious facts, texts, design, code, "Curio" brand) is the exclusive property of Ribn Development or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

5.2 We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.

5.3 AI-generated content (chat responses) is provided as is. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of generated responses.

6. PRIVACY AND DATA

Your use of Curio is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms.

Privacy summary:

  • All data is stored locally on your device
  • We do not sell or share your personal data
  • AI queries are anonymous and not used for model training

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The App will operate without interruptions or errors
  • All errors will be corrected
  • The App will be free of viruses or harmful components
  • Content will be accurate, complete, or up-to-date

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIBN DEVELOPMENT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

8. TERMINATION

You may stop using Curio at any time by uninstalling the App and canceling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activities.

9. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and notifying you within the App. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of Argentina. Any dispute shall be resolved in the competent courts of Argentina.
